SBEX01 – KOTA KINABALU CITY TOUR

Meet upon arrival or at the hotel. Proceed to visit the State Capital of Sabah – “The Land Below the Wind ”. Formerly known as Jesselton, and now better known as KK, Kota Kinabalu is fast becoming a major city with excellent infrastructure and amenities.
Highlights of this city tour include: a visit the Menara Tun Mustapha – a unique 32 storey building with no pillars, one of the few hanging structure in the world. Visit the Chinese Buddhist Temple where a huge statue of Kuan Yin, the goddess of mercy welcomes and bless to all who visit the temple.  Pass by Kota Kinabalu City Mosque which is exemplary of the Islamic contemporary architecture.  Proceed to Handicraft Market for handicraft and essential items that local eat and use.

SBEX02A – LOK KAWI WILDLIFE PARK

Begin with an introduction of the city : Lok Kawi Wildlife Park : Visitors can see Borneo and Malaysia wild animals such as proboscis monkey, Asian elephant, rhino, hornbill birds, tiger, etc. The Park has more than 100 species of mammals, which kept in captivity. Visitors are still welcomed to see the orang-utan ‘Marsha’ and her friends. Be amused by their antics during the daily exhibition which is to take place at the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park Amphitheatre. On the Botanical side, there is a trail which leads to the Herbal and Ginger Garden.

Begin with an introduction of the city:- * Sabah Foundation Building: This tower a unique 30-storey building (it is a circular Structure supported by high tensile steel rods, an architectural and engineering marvel. There are only four such buildings in the world. It is Sabah’s highest tower). Next to Kota Kinabalu City Mosque : which is exemplary of the Islamic contemporary architecture. Lok Kawi Wildlife Park: Visitors can see Borneo and Malaysia wild animals such as proboscis monkey, Asian elephant, rhino, hornbill birds, tiger, etc. The Park has more than 100 species of mammals, which kept in captivity. SBEX03 – ISLANDS HOPPING (MANUKAN & SAPI)

Proceed to the Jetty and take boat ride towards the Manukan Island within 15-20 minutes arrive at the Island. Arrive Manukan Island. Be mesmerized by the colourful fishes transparent by the crystal clear blue sea and vast greeneries surrounding the Island. Be fun with Fish Feeding for the lovely colourful tropical fishes. Transfer to Sapi Island . Free to swim or snorkel or just laze around the Beach, soaking the tropical sun. There are also trails for short nature walk. Other optional activities on this Sapi Island are Banana Boat Rides, Para Sailing, Windsurfing, Jet Ski and etc. A sumptuous lunch will be served by the beach. After lunch, free at leisure. Just relax under the sun or enjoy the white sandy beach with sandcastles or go snorkelling and look for beautiful corals and fishes. Depart from Sapi Island for Kota Kinabalu. Arrive jetty and proceed transfer to hotel.

SBEX05 – KINABALU PARK & PORING HOT SPRING

Meet at hotel lobby and proceed to Kinabalu Park, Malaysia’s Natural Heritage site. Journey will take approximately 2 hours passing by villages, paddy fields along mountainous roads that wind along the Crocker range. A brief stop over at Nabalu, a collection of native stalls selling fruits, vegetables, local produce and handicrafts. An opportunity to observe the local stall activities. Arrive at Kinabalu Park, enjoy the cool and refreshing mountain air, if the day is clear a majestic view of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia. Proceed for a guided walk along the nature trails with the park naturalist. While walking listen to the sounds of the jungle and observe the lowland rainforest. Depart for lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, depart for another interesting natural wonder, the Poring Hot Spring located approximately 47 kilometres from Kinabalu Park. Poring Hot Spring named after the tall bamboo plant that is abundant in that area is a natural spring where hot sulphurous water emit from the ground. There are Japanese Baths where visitors can soak themselves and let the invigorating sulphurous water stimulate the body. Visitors can also try the canopy walkway, where suspension bridges are suspended at the top of the canopy for visitors to walk among the canopy of a tropical Jungle. Depart Poring Hot Spring for Kota Kinabalu. On arrival, transfer to your respective hotel.

Padas River is situated in the interior of south-western part of Kota Kinabalu that is only accessible by train (used since the late 19th century in Borneo). Basically, this trip will give you two experiences advantages:1) Excursion of Class III – IV River, 2) A uniquely rides in an antique train.
This exciting adrenalin’ rushing tour will take you down to wave that goes as high as six feet and thrilling rapids up to grade IV. Whilst rushing down this wild and untamed part of the Padas River you will experience totally untouched nature. Excursion covers a distance of 9km of this rather muddy 200 km river that holds 7 exciting and tough rapids!

SBEX07 – KIULU WHITE WATER RAFTING

An interesting escape that will only take you 1.5 hour from the city of Kota Kinabalu to a breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kinabalu and placing you at the second most beautiful village in Malaysia. Located somewhere on the northwestern part of Sabah, Kiulu River graded as Class I & II river is safe enough for children and gentle enough for the elderly. Trip begins with a safety briefing session conducted by our professional raft guide that will demonstrates rafting techniques and proper handling of rafting equipment before rafting commences. Excursion covers up to 15km, making it the longest white water rafting trip in Borneo. The journey will take about 1.5 – 2 hours of rafting before reaching the ending point where delicious barbecue lunch prepared just by the riverbank. While having your lunch, enthrall yourself with the pristine breathtaking surroundings or get a quick sun tan before heading back to your respective hotels.

From the esplanade, drive by the various night market in the city, starting with the Filipino Market, the Segama Fruit & Food Stalls and the Kampung Air Night Market. Visit Tanjung Aru Beach, this beach overlooks the South China Sea and a popular spot for the locals in the evenings. There are lots of local food stall selling local fruits, and coconut drinks. Visitor can take a walk at the beach side and enjoy the beautiful sunset here too. Depart to a local Restaurant for a delicious dinner serve in local romantic open air atmosphere. Borneo Kelly bays is located at Kampung Laya-Laya Tuaran, It is just only a 40-minutes leisure drive from Kota Kinabalu to the private jetty, then a uniquely built ferry which is just like in a “Floating Pondok” ferries across the mangrove river and accompanying by the creaking sounds of insects. 5 minutes later, reach the destination with a feeling of total getaway from hassle of the city life.
Begin the afternoon with Crab Catching activities & Mangrove Cruise. Later, lunch is served with a taste of local Malay delicacies. Upon arrival, as you assemble you will be briefed on the Village Rules…the Dos & the Don’ts. As you enter through the suspension bridge, you will be fascinated with the sight of a river flowing. Visit each tribe’s traditional house and do some in house activities and stopover at demo. huts. There will be a Welcome Ceremony at one of the tribe houses. Then proceed for cultural performance. After the performance, you will be led to the Dining Hall. You may leisure around for about 15 mins. to shop, take photos or just relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
